Characteristics of this Showa

What stands out is the classic tri-colour distribution with a dominant, deeply pigmented sumi base that is beautifully spread across the central body. The hi on the forehead and mid-body provides a warm contrast, while the shiroji on the forehead and along the flanks looks fresh and bright. The head pattern – hi on the forehead plate with sumi towards the nose – gives this fish an expressive, powerful face.
