This complete 110mm bottom drain (heavy model) has a lid with a rubber membrane for optimal aeration and circulation of your pond. The bottom drain is equipped with 25mm hose tail 90° for air hose connection. To connect PVC pipe to the bottom drain, you can use a 90º elbow male thread 32 or 25 mm x 1''.

Bottom drain A bottom drain is a kind of floor drain, connected to a pond filter. The settled dirt on the bottom is therefore directly discharged via the drain. When constructing the pond, the drain must already be installed at the deepest point of the pond. This is a popular method for removing waste, especially in heavily loaded koi ponds. Bottom sludge is disastrous for clear water and a pathogen for your fish. Due to the water pressure, the water with dirt automatically enters the multi-chamber filter via the drain.
